Modern automation at OSKO-PLAST – we improve the quality of sieves and care about work safety

At OSKO-PLAST, we have been manufacturing louvered sieves for combine harvesters and components for the agricultural industry for over 25 years. To provide our customers with the highest quality and repeatability of products, we constantly invest in modern technologies and production automation.

One of the key steps was the implementation of a robotic welding station based on a KUKA robot, which significantly improved the precision and aesthetics of welding lamellas in louvered sieves.

Curious to see how it’s done? Check out the video below:

Robotic welding of louvered sieves at OSKO-PLAST

Why did we implement welding automation in the production of louvered sieves?

1. To improve and modernize the product

The use of the KUKA robot allowed us to achieve higher repeatability and weld quality, which directly impacts the durability of the louvered sieves. Each component is joined with the same precision, resulting in a stable, repeatable product—regardless of production series size.

2. To improve the aesthetics of the finished product

Customers are increasingly paying attention to appearance and quality of workmanship. Automatic welding of lamellas makes our sieves more aesthetic and visually refined. This sets us apart from other sieves manufacturers.

3. To ensure the health and ergonomics of welders’ work

One of the main goals of robotization was to reduce the work associated with spot welding, which is tiring, monotonous and burdensome for the eyes.
The robot took over the most repetitive operations, improving welders’ comfort.

Benefits of the implemented KUKA robot station

  • significantly improved weld repeatability,
  • higher quality and aesthetics of louvered sieves,
  • increased production efficiency,
  • reduced employee burden from monotonous work that is harmful to the eyes,
  • process stability and the possibility of further expansion of automation,
  • modern and more ergonomic production.

The implementation is another step towards building a leading position as a manufacturer of sieves for combine harvesters, which connects many years of experience with advanced technology.
